U970 is designed to be used as an uplight and features a special asymmetric lens to achieve an even wash of light on the wall and ceiling. The 180 degree aspect gives it a nice even wash from wall to ceiling. The 25 degree aspect gives it the punch to wash extra high pitched or flat ceilings. Halcyon recommends installing no closer than 600mm
to a flat or pitched ceiling for best results. Always aim to install with the bottom of the fitting above average eye height. The key with uplighting is correct positioning to find the balance between light intensity and light distribution. Too close to the ceiling and you will get a “hot spot” effect, too far and the fitting may be too low on the wall. In some circumstances it is also suitable to be used as a downlight. However, keep in mind
this is the exact opposite of what this luminaire has been designed for so if installed downwards at an incorrect height it will throw light outwards directly into the viewers eye.

We encourage you to find products that meet your needs and do not contain these gases.
